This is a new reading game you can play! It is called Dreamscape. Go to https://www.squigglepark.com/dreamscape/ to create your account. The class code is: KECTVS The video below shows how to create your account. It is similar to Prodogy, you read and answer questions about a story (instead of math) then you get to play! You will be able to compete against other students from our class! I hope you like it! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

This week's assignments:
1. Lexia - 25 minutes daily (100 minutes total for the week) * or Headsprout (on Raz Kids) for students who can't use Lexia on cell phone and students who have finished all levels of Lexia 2. Seesaw - writing prompt each day (Monday - Thursday) If you have finished Lexia or are having trouble accessing Lexia at home, now you can do Headsprout on Raz-Kids instead. Raz Kids works well on a cell phone, so if the only technology you have is a cell phone you will be able to do Headsprouts. It will teach you vocabulary and a reading skill, then give you passages to read and answer questions.
To get to Headsprouts on a computer, log onto Raz-Kids then look in the top left corner of the screen and look for Headsprout (next to reading). Click on espisodes and begin. On a cell phone, download the Raz Kids app (Kids A-Z). Log in and you will see Headsprouts at the bottom of the screen. Click on Headsprout, then click on assignment. This is another great resource to help you become better readers and prepare for 6th grade! Let me know if you have questions or need any help :) Assignments for this week:
Lexia - 25 minutes daily (100 minutes total for the week) Seesaw - writing prompt each day (Monday - Thursday) You have two assignments for the week. It is up to you how you manage your time during the week. The Lexia minutes and the Writing essay need to be complete by Friday, April 17th. Don't try to do it all in one day, but don't leave it all until the last day either. Remember, that we are working on getting ready for middle school and that includes being responsible for completing work on time! Dojo or email me if you have any questions or need help :)
1. Lexia - 90 minutes for the week* 2. Seesaw - writing activity (research and write an essay about the Civil Rights movement) *If you have finished all levels of Lexia or do not have access: read 3 books and take the quiz on Raz Kids (I am counting the books READ not listened to; also do NOT keep RETAKING the quiz over and over until you get a 100, I will count the first or second quiz attempt only, read carefully, you can go back in the book to look for text evidence while you take the quiz) |
